Nothing looks nicer than fresh flowers at a Church Altar. For many years, we were without a "Flower Lady", and early in 2002, it was decided to reinstate this valuable service at St. Stephen's. As the Flower Calendar diary had been mislaid, a new one was created and congregation and parishioners invited to sponsor Altar flowers for anniversary memories of a loved one(s), birthday memories of loved ones, wedding anniversaries, special birthdays, etc. The response has been tremendous and year on year the flower calendar has been full with the odd date being free. However, that doesn't mean to say we will refuse, we are quite happy to "double up", that is two Altar pedestals, (which we have done on a fair few occasions) or flowers can be arranged where ever you would like to have them in Church.
Names of sponsors and memorials are published in our Church magazine each month.
This is a non-profit making, self funding service and is provided on a donation basis.
If you would like flowers in Church for whatever occasion, please do not hesitate to contact us.
