As those of you who browse our web site will know a few of us undertook the task of re - decorating our whole church after the work on the roof was completed.Since then because of the bad condition of the tower we had to raise extra money to have those repairs carried out, this ammounted to over £30.000 which with our very limited money available posed a considerable problem,but we overcame that had the repair work carried out.Now comes the bad news,whilst this was being carried out the scourge of all churches was discovered DRY ROT because water had ingressed the tower prior to the repairs this was the outcome.But the church council not to be thwarted raised some money by selling some of the churches assets and a reputable company was given the job of repairing the damage,but all was not over yet as during the investigation as to the extent of the dry rot it was found to have spread further than was thought. Inevitably this meant the cost escalated and we have to find another £5,000. So its heads down again to think of ways we can raise the extra amount. We have had a few small donations i.e £200 from our local Manor golf club ,but this is only a drop in the ocean,so if anybody out there can spare anything for a donation believe me this would be so helpful.Any donations should be sent to;
